Freiburg goalkeeper Arthuru was interviewed by Biography and talked about the topic of possibly becoming the first black goalkeeper in the German team's history.

"Being the first black goal in the German national team will be a special thing because it has never happened. But for me, skin color doesn't matter. Ultimately, your performance should always be the deciding factor."

"I think it's a good time for me because Neuer is no longer in the national team, and Ter Stegen may not be playing for the national team for too long. Neuer was the best goalkeeper in the world in the past, but now things have changed because we no longer have one best goalkeeper, but multiple competitors. I think Neuer is not in the team, which is good for me to compete for the main goalkeeper position of the national team."
