According to Real Madrid's official website, Cross won the Madrid Community Sports Seven-Star Award.

At the award ceremony held at the Royal Mail Building in Madrid, Kroos accepted the 2023 Madrid Community Sports Seven Star Award. The award is designed to recognize male athletes who performed best in 2023.

Kroos retired after the end of the 2023/24 season. In his acceptance speech, he said: "Thank you for this invitation and this award. I always think I am a part of the team, so although I received this award, I want to thank my teammates, coaches and the club. I also want to thank the people of Madrid, who welcomed us with open arms. When I came here 11 years ago, I thought I would return to Germany after the end of Real Madrid's career, but every year we feel more and more comfortable, and now our home is here. I have found a club of my life here."

Kroos has won 23 titles for the team in 10 seasons since joining Real Madrid in 2014, including 5 Champions League, 5 Club World Cup, 4 European Super Cup, 4 La Liga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
