Sky Sports reported that Premier League clubs may bid for Gallagher in the winter window, provided that Atletico Madrid agrees to release him.

If Atletico Madrid is willing to release him, multiple Premier League clubs are expected to bid for England midfielder Connor Gallagher in January. Gallagher said last week that while he was "happy" in Madrid, he was "not happy" with his playing time this season.

Before the end of the summer transfer window, many Premier League teams had inquired about Gallagher's situation, but Atletico Madrid had no intention of letting him leave at that time, especially on loan. It is understood Atletico are unlikely to loan out Gallagher in January, even if he hopes to get more playing opportunities in a bid to make England's World Cup squad. That means any move will almost depend on whether a Premier League club is willing to buy the midfielder outright - which would likely cost at least the £35m (€40m) Atletico paid to bring him in this summer.

The 25-year-old Gallagher grew up in Chelsea's youth academy and performed well during his loan spell at Crystal Palace. If he leaves Atletico, he hopes to continue playing for a top club and compete in European competitions, so only a handful of Premier League giants are realistic options.

According to Sky Sports News, the Premier League clubs that have not shown interest in Gallagher are his old club Chelsea, as well as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

This season, Gallagher has been substituted 12 times, making him the player who has been substituted the most times in Atletico Madrid. In addition, the 22-year-old Atletico Madrid youth training product Barrios has surpassed him in the midfield position.

In a recent interview with Spanish media "AS", Gallagher stated that he was "of course... dissatisfied" with his playing time and revealed that he had discussed the situation with England national team coach Thomas Tuchel.

"I don't think anyone will be satisfied if they don't get enough playing time," he said, "but I will continue to work hard and help the team when I have the opportunity, and hopefully get more starting opportunities. I am very happy here. My goal is to win the championship with Atletico Madrid and hope to play a more important role in the team. I will continue "I have spoken to Thomas Tuchel and he told me what I need to do to get back to the team. But as I said before, I will continue to do my best to get more playing time and hope to return to the national team."source:7m com vn
