Italian media: Naples does not want to pay more than 45 million euros for Nunes, and is still negotiating with Liverpool
According to Il Mattino, Naples will not offer Nunez more than 45 million euros.
Nuñez's future has been a hot topic in the summer window. Although he joined Liverpool for £85 million in 2022, his appearance pick under Slot has dropped, and if a team meets Liverpool's asking price, he can transfer.
Naples and Riyadh Crescent both showed strong interest in Nunez, but he seemed to be more inclined to join Naples. Official negotiations between the clubs of the two sides are underway, with an initial offer of approximately €43 million (about £36.4 million), plus a performance-based bonus clause of €7 million.
However, new reports from Italy say there is a gap between Liverpool's asking price and what Naples is willing to pay.
"Il Mattino" reported: "Liverpool will not lower the asking price to between 65 million and 70 million euros, and Naples will not pay him more than 40 million to 45 million euros,"
"The heat of this deal has not diminished, but has restarted in the past few hours, but both sides need excellent mediation. At present, Naples has not submitted a substantial offer to Liverpool, and Naples wants to ensure that the offer meets expectations."
