Ferran Torres: Yamal needs treatment to stay in the gym, the coach will decide who will play

Spain prepares for Saturday's game against Georgia, hoping to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Ferran Torres attended a press conference before traveling to Tbilisi to share his thoughts on the game and announce the national team's sponsorship cooperation with Old Spice. The Barcelona man has also given Lamine Yamar some advice as he recovers from the groin injury that has plagued him in recent weeks.
"Therapy and the gym, that's the basics." Phelan, nicknamed "Shark," advises. He is likely to replace the injured Yamal in Saturday night's game against Georgia at 6pm.
Although the absence of Barcelona's number 10 may affect Spain's offensive capabilities, Ferran is confident in the players called up by Luis de la Fuente and believes that they can cope with the games against Turkey in Tbilisi and Katuha.
He said: "I am not surprised that the first question is about Yamal. We are all available players, the coach will make a decision, and we will try our best to perform."
The dispute between the Spanish national team and Barcelona about Yamal can be traced back to September this year. The 18-year-old winger played more than 150 minutes in two international games despite being unwell. The injury ruled him out for three weeks, and he subsequently missed the Sevilla game and international training in October with a new groin problem.
Now, when it was thought that he had recovered and started six consecutive games, the national team had to abandon him because Barcelona performed radiofrequency ablation surgery on him before he left for training in Madrid, which will keep him off the court for seven to ten days. The national team was unhappy because they were not informed of the situation until Yamal arrived at Las Vegas Sports City in Dallas last Monday night.
