German Sky Sports reporter Plettenberg published an article reporting on Borussia's director recruitment process.

The reporter said: "Monchengladbach has also held talks with Malinko Julundic, who is one of the candidates for Wilkus' potential successor. Schroder is still the first choice, but everything depends on whether it can reach an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg."

Monchengladbach has performed poorly this season, and sports director Wilkus voluntarily resigned at the end of last month. Julendic previously served as Augsburg's sporting director. After leaving the club in May this year, he is currently idle at home.
