Real Madrid Chairman Florentino attended the club's members' meeting today and delivered a speech. At the end of his speech, he talked about the European Super League and claims against UEFA.

Florentino: I must emphasize that the European Super League is imperative. We have broken a monopoly that lasted for more than 60 years in record time. In 2021, UEFA also blatantly threatened the club with suspension, and even initiated disciplinary procedures against us in an attempt to expel us from the Champions League.

Now, with the introduction of a devastating verdict, the situation has fundamentally changed.

Faced with these verdicts, La Liga and UEFA tried to downplay them and instead talked about "peace." Do they really think we are fools? We were found to be justified in 21 of the 23 charges, and they even had to pay us the legal fees.

No one has the right to impose sanctions on us for planning our future. This overwhelming victory entitles us to pursue damages from UEFA. We have filed a lawsuit against UEFA, demanding compensation and the right to organize our own events in the future. We fight not to win a verdict but to put it into practice.

I would like to thank all parties for their efforts. We have sought reconciliation but to no avail. Although UEFA urges us to return to the ECA (European Club Association), joining the ECA means that we must give up all lawsuits against UEFA, which is equivalent to us voluntarily giving up the right to pursue billions of euros in compensation.
