Today is the 41st birthday of former NBA player and current basketball commentator Kendrick Perkins. Let us wish him a happy birthday.

Perkins was born in Netherlands, Texas, USA on November 10, 1984. He was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2003 NBA draft, and was subsequently traded to the Boston Celtics.

Perkins has played for four NBA teams including the Celtics, Thunder, Cavaliers and Pelicans in his career. He won the 2008 NBA championship with the Celtics as the starting center.

Perkins has played in a total of 782 regular season games, averaging 21.9 minutes per game, averaging 5.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 blocks.

After retiring, Perkins became a basketball commentator and achieved considerable success.
