Cole: The 11-man rotation is planned. There will be three games in four days at the beginning of the season. Playing for too long will easily lead to injuries.

The Warriors faced the Nuggets at home. Before the game, head coach Cole was interviewed.
Reporter: Steve, it seemed like you used an 11-man rotation the night before. I'm not sure if this was planned or if there was foul trouble? After all, you still had two players who might enter the rotation who were not playing at the time, so was an 11-man rotation the goal you set?
Cole: It was not an accident, it was planned. Mainly because we started the season playing three games in four nights. Usually at the beginning of the season, players' bodies are not ready to play at the intensity of 38 or 40 minutes. And it is quite strange to arrange four games in three days at the beginning of the season. I always feel that training camp can help everyone adjust to their condition as much as possible, but you would never let someone play 35 minutes in the preseason - it would be too easy to get injured. So it's usually not until a week or ten days into the season that your minutes-heavy main players really get into a game rhythm. My goal the night before was to get more people on the court to help everyone get used to the intensive schedule this week.
