Recently, Green Army legend Pierce talked about the time he was stabbed 11 times in a nightclub 25 years ago on Sharp's podcast "Club Shay Shay".

"I had never had any problems before that incident. It was my third year of my career and I had never been in trouble on the streets. I thought it was an isolated incident. What happened was we played a game of pool and then went to a nightclub. I was with a few teammates and friends and just wanted to have a good time and meet some girls. But it got messy. I remember there were three girls and a guy and I felt offended. I didn't want a confrontation in a strange city. My mistake was that we didn't act together. I walked away and there was a fight. I was attacked by three or four men. If I hadn't been wearing a thick leather jacket, it would have been more serious. I didn't go to the club again for a few years. I saw my family and friends in the hospital and it made me more cautious about going out with my teammates."
